白介素-18（Interleukin-18，IL-18），也称为干扰素-γ诱导因子，是一种促炎细胞因子，造血细胞和非造血细胞等许多细胞类型都有产生IL-18的潜力[1]。IL-18的主要功能是通过诱导Th1细胞分泌干扰素-γ （IFN-γ）来实现的。这种细胞因子与IL-12协同作用有助于Th1的分化，在宿主抵御细胞内细菌、病毒和真菌的防御机制中非常重要[2]。IL-18与IL-12联合使用可激活细胞毒性T细胞和自然杀伤细胞产生IFN-γ，从而可能有助于肿瘤免疫。IL-18的生物学活性不仅局限于这些细胞，而且在Th17细胞反应的发展中也起作用。IL-18与IL-23协同作用可诱导Th17细胞分泌IL-17[3]。
